Ed Bonneville is a true New Hampshire native, born and raised in Manchester, educated in Manchester schools, and a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, class of 1981. He's proud of his family, their successful family business, and their long heritage of excellent service to their customers and community.
Ed's grandfather Alfred opened his first garage in 1946, establishing what has become the formula for Bonneville & Son's success: "take care of the customer, offer a superior product at a fair price, and give back to the community that supports you."
In the 60's and 70's Bonneville & Son was expanded into a premier retailer of new and pre-owned cars. Ed's dad, Edward Sr., established a larger retail operation at 41 Hooksett Road. Already successful at used car retailing, he began selling new models from AMC, Simca, and Renault.
While Edward Sr. was busy establishing a reputation for exceptional customer service, son Ed was going to school at UNH and learning the car business selling at dad's dealership on the weekends. In 1984 Edward Sr. bought the Dodge franchise and settled into the showroom at 337 Hooksett Road, handing the reins of Bonneville Dodge over to Ed. Under Ed's direction both the new and used car operations took off, and Jeep was added to their line. The success of Bonneville & Son Dodge-Jeep was immediate — but it was evident that a larger facility was needed.
In October of 2001 Bonneville & Son Inc. moved into a brand new facility at 625 Hooksett Road. This state-of-the-art automotive showcase was built to exacting Five Star principles to insure the customer the best experience for sales, service, and parts. An expanded used car division as well as a Kia franchise was added to the refurbished former location, and in 2002 the Chrysler franchise was purchased.
That single garage opened by Alfred, and expanded upon by Edward, has now blossomed into Bonneville Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Kia. Thanks to a commitment to exceptional customer service and volume discount pricing, Bonneville's is one of New England's premier dealers. Because that high level of customer satisfaction has been maintained as sales have soared, Bonneville & Son is both a DaimlerChrysler Five Star Dealer and a Kia Circle of Excellence Dealer.
As devoted to his community as he is to his customers, Ed Bonneville is proud to support a number of local charities and organizations. Bonneville & Son was the first dealer to support the Union Leader Santa's Fund and is a prime sponsor of Kristen's Gift, a charity for New Hampshire kids with cancer. Ed was awarded the prestigious "Chad Champions" award for his fundraising for the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth through the Bonneville celebrity Golf Tournament. Bonneville & Son also supports the YMCA, local police and fire, departments, and many youth sports teams. Recently, Ed and his family organized a number of fund drives, with the help of all Bonneville employees, for the Tsunami victims and New Hampshire families of servicemen in Iraq.
Ed Bonneville is married to the former Jo Ann Tkacz. They have two wonderful sons, Nick and Alex, and reside in Bedford.
